A
native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jimmie began performing with local recording artists on Bourbon Street in the
50's. Following classical studies at the Houston Conservatory of Music he toured from California to Florida with "Show
Bands" and appeared in concert at The Hollywood Palladium with the rock band 'Bluesberry Jam'. After 'held over' engagements
at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas and a highly successful appearance as an actor in "Jesus Christ Superstar," he traveled
the southeast states with country and rock bands. In 1983 he and his wife Robin and their two children built a home
in Roanoke Virginia, and Jimmie started a career in the hotel and resort industry. He has been the featured artist at
The Hotel Roanoke since 1995.
His third CD is currently being recorded at Flat Five Recording Studio in Salem Virginia, Word of Mouth Studio in New Orleans
and Jimmie's home studio. Original compositions will be featured along with a variety of very creative musicians from Virginia
and New Orleans.
Jimmie continues to enjoy training seven days a week in preparation for his promotion to Second Degree Black Belt in American
Freestyle Karate as a student of Grandmaster Eddie Thomas and is also on the staff of American Freestyle Karate's after school
program for Roanoke County and Salem school systems.

On a return visit to New Orleans in November 2006, Jimmie sat in with Benny Grunch, Alpo and Harry Ravine at the Rock &
Bowl.
